There’s a small fast food joint behind a narrow alley in the heart of Thimphu. Run by a young lady, you’ll find an all-female team serving burgers and pizzas in a small but comfortable place. “I’ve always loved cooking good food for my children. Now that they’re older, I have more time to run a business but the love for cooking stays the same”, says Dema, the young mother that owns Food Express.
Food Express prides itself for making fast food healthier than what’s sold in town. “We do not use msg in our food. Our soft base pizzas and juicy burgers are very popular among kids, so we mostly see families with children come here.”
P.s they also make their own ice cream during the summer season in Thimphu.
