Phobjikha is where homestays in Bhutan first began. Back when village households didn’t know what a homestay was and were unsure about how they would earn an income by inviting strangers to live in their home. Lhakpa Homestay is one of the earlier homestays in the valley which started in 2013. Run by Aum Lhakpa and her daughter, the homestay is a beautiful structure surrounded by vast potato fields above the RSPN centre.
