The Oven – Bakery and Cafe Lounge
Located inside the Bhutan Suites Apartments in Changangkha, The Oven is an ideal if you’re looking for a place away from the main city area but still in walking distance. Decorated almost like a home with comfortable sofas and the cozy vibe of a home, The Oven even has a dining space to go from coffee and cakes to dinner dates. Their walls are adorned by paintings by the Twinz artists, a famous artist duo in Bhutan. This bakery/lounge also has live music entertainment during Saturdays at 8pm.
Yachna Gurung, the lovely lady that runs the place, always had a flair for baking. But now her menu has extended to delicious but healthy recipes. Their healthy menu includes vegetables spaghetti with Thai cashew sauce, zucchini chocolate muffins, baked chicken drumsticks with cauliflower couscous and many more. Highlights? Try her Japanese cheese cakes, cream horns, and cheesecakes topped with glossy blueberry sauce. Want to try something savory? They also have brown bread and avocado toast, baked chicken strips, mushroom and pumpkin soup.
